Last year, more than 14,000 college students took a "Civil Literacy" test sponsored by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. According to ISI, students didn't do so well. The average college freshman got about 50% of the questions right. Seniors did only a bit better, averging 54% on the quiz. Harvard seniors were the nation's best, averaging 69% on the survey. Can you do better? Take the quiz at the link below and find out! Did you do better than the average freshman? Better than the average senior? Better than the average Harvard student? Better than Harry the talking hand? (Harry got 58/60 right, as did Professor Jon Schaff). What do you think of the quiz? Is this stuff students should really know, or does it seem like trivial pursuit?Thursday, November 20, 2008
Are you smarter than a Harvard senior?

I recieved 69.2% on the quiz
I got a 77.3%. kinda disappointing since I'm still in school and have recently learned about a lot of what was asked in the quiz.
I think it's a pretty good overall test. Of course the questions that I got wrong are useless trivia :)
I got 78.8% Which was slightly higher than the avg score from November test takers 77%.
So at least I got being slightly higher than average going for me.

I received a 75. 3%. It was a lot of the stuff I have learned lately and some I don't even remember. I think that probably most college students, or anyone for that matter wouldn't be able to get all of them right.
78.8%

I got a 71.6% on the test. My A.P. US Government class from last year helped me out alot.
Wow! I received a 78.8% on the quiz. . . no too shabby! Although I should brush up on my AmGov knowledge! :]

I recieved a 72.7% on the test. I was kind of dissapointed considering I felt I knew more questions than I did. I'm not too bent out of shape about it however; I'm not planning on attending Harvard University ever.
